Last week, I closed out the group coaching programme for a cohort of high potential female engineers at Sainsbury's Digital, Tech and Data looking to take their first step into leadership.
Here are my key takeaways:
🚀 I am thrilled to see almost 50% of the group achieve promotions during the coaching period, with everyone else clear on their next steps.
🤝 I was privileged to unlock the power of peer mentoring and witness the value gained by surfacing the group's wisdom.
🔊 I saw how articulating goals out loud drove accountability and enhanced ownership.
💡 I saw a shift in confidence with a greater understanding of how it does, or doesn't (!) show up. We examined confidence through the paradigm of comfort/stretch/panic as well as within the complex landscape of emotions.
🌟 The group co-created a vision statement that served to buoy them throughout the programme.
The programme was a deep, intense, and transformational experience. The ultra safe-space created through the demonstration of vulnerability super-charged the collective rapport, creating a close-knit group that will endure well beyond the walls of the coaching container itself.
